When you’re a travel nurse, you may have some control over the destination for your next assignment. One of the benefits of this lifestyle is being able to move where you want and experiencing life in a new place. There are so many cities to choose from, how do you decide which is best for you. Take a look at the environment you want to explore and make a push for those locations. Here are just a few to consider when you’re thinking of your next travel nurse position.

The coast of Washington State.

Seattle isn’t the only place to move in Washington State. Their coastline is one of the most beautiful areas on the planet and may have great opportunities for travel nurses. The coastal area also has an active water sports community if that’s something that appeals to you.

The islands of Hawaii.

Speaking of water, there may not be anywhere more amazing than the Hawaiian Islands. And what better way to have a chance to move to this destination than through a travel nursing assignment. This is an opportunity that not many people get, so take advantage of it when you can.

The Gulf Coast area of Alabama.

You don’t have to travel so far to get amazing beaches. The gulf coast, from Florida to Louisiana is a magical place with plenty of opportunities for travel nurse positions. If you want to focus on just one area, many people forget the historic and picturesque coastline of Alabama.

The Great Lakes in Michigan.

Some of the best water spots may not be on the ocean at all. Anyone from Michigan can tell you about the majesty of the Great Lakes. Whether you’re on the west, north, or east coast of the mitten state, there are tons of great opportunities and beautiful areas to consider.

The Carolina coast.

Most people don’t think much about the landscape diversity in the state of North Carolina. From west to east you can see mountains and ocean in a matter of hours. But the entire Carolina coast, from Charleston South Carolina up through North Carolina’s Outer Banks are incredible and have ample opportunities for placements.
