Evaluate how they fit into the organization and make changes based on their skills and interests.

Consider Priorities

One of the biggest challenges for any healthcare organization is to realize that there may be tasks that are simply not as important as others. Give Feedback

You want to give positive feedback when people are doing a good job. You also want to make sure you provide any corrective feedback as it is needed, and only to the individual. Often managers will make sweeping policies or host meetings to call attention to problems, but ultimately this only exacerbates the situation.

Focus on Retention

Another big priority for managers in 2016 should be ensuring that your current team is happy and engaged. You want to focus on keeping your great staff so they aren’t looking for better opportunities elsewhere. Evaluate your salary plans, your recognition program, and added benefits that could help. You want your key players to stay, so provide incentives.
